Aymestry Court

North England [2008-2011]

Amystrey Court is the conversion of a dilapidated grade II listed manor house. It was built in 1886 for the daughter of the Tate family [of Tate and Lyle sugar]. The building was vacated in 1990 and thereafter suffered from the inevitable neglect of being left derelict. Snook renovated the building back into a luxury family home, complete with refurbished gate lodge and new coach house. Beyond the careful restoration of the listed historic fabric, the building enjoys a new contemporary leisure area complete with new pool, spa area, snooker room and cinema.
