Aymestry Lodge

North England [2009-2011]

Aymestry Lodge is the conversion and refurbishment of a derelict lodge in North England. Previously used as staff accommodation the building was empty for nearly twelve years before new owners took over the property. Snook architects sought to retain the best of the historic structure [which included some fantastic double height spaces] whilst inserting modern conveniences to create a contemporary open plan family home in an historic setting. A programme of contextual landscaping works was also undertaken as part of the project.
